I'd like to brag about, er, mention a few things of note regarding this blog and my SmileZone. If you're not particularly curious about either, no need to read on Using magic pixie dust (okay, gzip compression), my 70K main blog page is now served as a 20K tasty morsel. Translation: This should make for MUCH faster page loading, especially for you dialup folks. Let me know if stuff is indeed happily fast for ya on my site now (and for fellow geeks out there, feel free to write me for a more detailed explanation).

I'm testing out a new 'subscribe' system to my blog. The neat thing about it is that it sends out just one nightly e-mail when I've blogged, so if (or rather, when) I go nuts and write seven entries in one day, you don't get seven separate e-mails. Better yet, when I introduce my Humor House blog (yes, coming soon!), those notifications will be wrapped up in the same short e-mail, too! I haven't officially 'released' this functionality yet, but using a special preview page, the first 10 lucky folks can sign up for FREE here (okay, fine, so it's not even actually that limited, nor will it ever cost anything... but hey, I got your attention, didn't I?

There's much other new stuff to come with my SmileZone... new spiffier Conversation Corner (including a very upgraded Fun Polls section), new sections on smiley music, and much more. Stay tuned!
